Our client is a Global International Expansion firm who specialise in helping US and European Corporations expand internationally by providing tax, software, managed services and accounting services. Due to continued demand for the firms services they currently seek to hire a US International Corporate Tax Director for their San Francisco office. They seek someone who has a breadth of knowledge and experience as it relates to US corporations inbound and outbound tax considerations.
You will act as a senior level expert and will be expected to be closely connected with clients and the international tax team both in San Francisco and London. You will have great technical skills as well as an instinct towards client development. This organisation seeks someone who can easily pick up existing client relationships and further nurture and develop those relationships to make them more profitable for the firm.
The ideal individual must have relevant US tax experience; possess an entrepreneurial perspective, sound judgment, excellent analytical skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. You will play a pivotal role in helping direct and shape the future of the firms US international tax groups globally.
Experience should include the following at the Director level;
Managing a portfolio of clients including public and privately-held companies with respect to US tax inbound and outbound matters including US tax filing obligations;
Playing a leadership role in the further development of the firms International Corporate tax team including mentoring staff and providing technical expertise as it relates to international tax projects.
Drafting and coordinating technical tax opinions on financing structures and liaising with colleagues in the US on tax technical matters;
Advising clients on US international tax matters including interpretation and application of tax treaty benefits, dual consolidated loss regulations, entity classification regulations, domestic reverse hybrid regulations, FIRPTA and Branch Profits tax rules.
