A leading boutique practice firm in Edinburgh are looking for the latest addition to their fast-growing Personal Tax team. This role will suit an experienced Senior or Assistant Manager looking to move to a relaxed and friendly environment that offers a fantastic compensation package and excellent opportunities for career progression.
Responsibilities will include:
• Taking day-to-day responsibility for an allocation of clients of a complex nature
• Dealing with all normal tax compliance issues for these clients
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and bringing these to the attention of the Partner and Senior Manager
• Dealing with complex tax planning work and other one-off tax exercises
• Reviewing a number of cases dealt with by the tax assistants and tax seniors in the department, and assisting in the training and development of these staff
• Developing professional relationships with clients and within the firm
• Keeping up to date with relevant tax legislation and knowledge
The successful candidate:
• Works well in a team, displaying flexibility, lateral thinking, co-operation and affability
• You can build and maintain relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
• Experienced in tax compliance work and able to advise clients where necessary
• Being able to act as a responsible member of the tax team, providing support, development, encouragement and guidance to junior staff
• Able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Able to identify ways that the business can streamline and improve its processes
• Willing to pursue further development of personal and business skills
• Any of the following professional qualifications (desirable): ATT/ACA/CA/CTA
