An exciting opportunity has arisen in a large global consulting firm to join their market leading VAT Practice in Dubai! The firm are looking to bring on board an experienced VAT Senior Manager to assist with the influx of VAT clients due to the approaching introduction of VAT across the GCC. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the introduction of VAT in one of the most desirable locations in the world!
The role:
* Interpreting VAT act, planning and restructuring
* Consulting and liaising with clients locally and regionally on matters of a compliance type nature, checking schedules and issuing VAT returns
* Mentoring and guiding VAT new joiners / juniors
* Conducting VAT reviews and client visitations, providing opinions on VAT scenarios for clients
* Research into local and offshore legislation and case law
* Advising on VAT savings for clients and identifying exposure in respect of VAT
The Requirements:
* At least 8 - 10 years of VAT experience gained within professional services
* Excellent client facing, relationship building and business development skills, coupled with commercial awareness
* Demonstrate leadership and problem solving skills
* Excellent research skills and strong inter-personal skills
* Ability to travel within the GCC
* Excellent communication skills in English , any Arabic skills advantageous
