An internationally renowned technology solutions business, with growing operations across APAC. Australia is a key region in the group's activity, and as such has a busy back office.

Your new role

Due to recent growth, and subsequent increase in reporting activity, our client is looking to bring a dedicated tax accountant into its finance group. Reporting to an experienced tax manager, you will play a key part in ensuring Australian tax compliance in relation to:

* Income tax preparation
* Preparation and lodgment of FBT returns, as well as relevant GL reconciliations
* Monthly BAS return preparation and lodgment
* Lodging ATO reports and supporting documentation
* Working with internal stakeholders to provide real-time advice and calculations, e.g. PAYG, payroll tax, FBT
* R&D claims in relation to pilot technologies
* Project work with the tax manager, in the face of changes to the tax landscape

What you need to do next

* CA/CPA-qualified, ideally with in-house exposure
* Excellent training in a Corporate Tax team, ideally in a Big 4 / Top-tier firm
* Strong tax understanding, and proven, hands-on experience
* Firm grasp of Australian tax legislation and regulatory framework
* Strong systems skills (you will need to be a spreadsheet guru)
* Great communications skills, used in building relationships across the business, and essential for effective reporting
