My Local Government client has a requirement for a part-time VAT consultant to undertake a project role for u to 6 months. It is a 2 - 3 day a week role, for approximately 6 months
Your new role
This is a technical VAT specialist role and requires someone with excellent Local Government VAT experience, particularly around partial exemptions. You would be bridging the gap between the council and an external provider to ensure that the Council's VAT is correctly calculated.
It is a part-time role - approx 2 - 3 days a week until June 2018.
Out of Scope of IR35
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified accountant, or have relevant experience in providing VAT specialist advice to local government organisations
What you'll get in return
The rate will be determined by your skills and experience in this field, but expectation is between £200 - £300 a day
