In-house Banking Tax Lawyer, London

This is a pure advisory role which will see you manage complex and diverse tax issues, including; M&A, commodities, equities, fixed income, leasing and asset management. This outstanding career opportunity will allow you to be the lead contact for the business units which you support, managing the tax input throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Advising business units and treasury on tax issues relating to new transactions and products,
* Oversight of tax aspects of all legal documentation (e.g. share purchase agreements, tax deeds, ISDA, GMSLA, GMRA).
* Leading the tax work stream on internal projects, such as changes in legislation, consultations, corporate restructuring and simplifications, thin capitalisation and recapitalisations.
* Liaising with group tax and finance regionally and globally and external advisors including law firms and accountancy firms.

You will:

* Be an experienced tax lawyer or qualified tax professional with 4-7 years PQE with strong advisory experience.
* Have strong UK tax technical expertise, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

* Have the ability to interact effectively with different levels of staff across the finance, treasury and regulatory teams as well as the businesses.
* Be commercially minded, a team player and have strong communication skills.
