Corporate Tax Manager - Insurance - Edinburgh - Big 4 - £62, 000

Nebula Partners are working with the highly successful Corporate Tax team of a leading Big 4 firm in Edinburgh. The firm knows how to value their people and their strengths and has a broad range of quality career paths to ambitious people. The extent of change affecting the Insurance sector has raised enormous opportunities for this team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with huge clients as you help manage the amount of corporation tax they need to pay. This involves working with clients to produce complex tax computations and returns for HM Revenue & Customs, giving advice on corporate planning and restructuring projects and finding ways to reduce their effective rate for tax. This team will be the main point of contact for the client for all taxes.

The business covers major UK-based insurance clients, international insurance groups, life insurers, pension product and other specialist providers, and brokers. This team provides mainly corporate tax advisory and M&A services, and facilitates the provision of corporate tax compliance services as well as advisory services.

Key requirements:
- Chartered Tax and/or Chartered Accountancy and/or equivalent legal/HMRC/international qualification
- Good knowledge of UK corporate tax
- A track record of leading projects
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Desire to coach and develop more junior members of the team

Beneficial but not essential:
- Knowledge in relation to insurance groups
- Experience in life insurance tax, general insurance tax, tax for Lloyds groups, and tax for insurance brokers
