A rare opportunity to join a leading in-house tax team in the role of Tax and Compliance Manager. Due to internal promotion this role has the benefit of being mentored by a highly qualified Tax trained head of finance. This role will take the lead in adding value and ensuring corporate compliance in all areas of corporate tax affecting the UK Group.
As Tax and Compliance manager, this role will be responsible for managing the groups corporation tax affairs within a role that has a broad split between tax reporting and tax compliance. Other responsibilities include:
* Preparation of U.K. tax included in group management accounts, budgets & forecasts and investor reporting
* Ensure group compliance from an indirect tax perspective by managing the VAT compliance cycle whilst adhering to a complex partial exemption status
* Acting as a business partner ensuring all tax improvements and remedial actions are acted upon
* Leading the development, implementation and future refinement of systems, processes and policies ensuring the group remains tax compliant
* Support the U.K Finance Director in executing, embedding and continual refinement of the U.K group's tax policies in establishing a robust control environment and monthly processes that meets the obligations of the board team
* Assist the finance function in implementing robust recharging mechanisms across the UK and International group
* Driving the effectiveness of Transfer Pricing agreement
Essentially this position is targeting a qualified CTA/ACA/ACCA accountant who has a sound underpinning of all things tax associated ideally combined with a wider understanding of treasury and transfer pricing. As with any in-house technician, this role will require an excellent communicator capable of driving change and challenging internal stakeholders. Tax will be a very focal part of this business and essentially this role will be give huge exposure.
