Exciting opportunity to join a leading retail bank based in Edinburgh, looking to add head count into their internal audit team focusing on IT change/migration projects across the bank. This role is based in Edinburgh and has minimal travel requirements in the UK.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Audit you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audits across the ban, managing the audit to completion within the timescales. The audits will mostly focus on business strategy, controls and risks and you will provide an independent assurance on the effectiveness of the control framework.

You will build relationships with key stakeholders across the business, working as an effective business partner to improve process.

You will be responsible for managing the whole audit including reporting findings to senior management and managing junior members of staff during the audit, however you will not be responsible for any direct reports on a day to day basis.

Contribute to the development of business strategy and ensure the co-ordination and delivery of effective information, interpretation and guidance, enabling business areas to assess the implications linked to their decisions.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have been working in a similar position or will be coming from an Change/IT background with a desire to transition into the 3rd Line of Defence.

You will maintain excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and will have a track record of influencing stakeholders across the business.
