Indirect Tax Accountant

The Indirect Tax Accountant, will report into the Head of VAT, based in central London. The role will be involved in all aspects of indirect taxes, with the main focus being VAT compliance and reporting. This is an exciting role within a growing team, with huge potential for career growth.

Indirect Tax Accountant key responsibilities:

* Support the Indirect Tax Accounting framework in the EMEA Region, including:

* Support for the sections of the indirect tax accounting process, including the preparation of tax reconciliations for material entities in the region and review calculations prepared by the GFS team; and
* Support for the Indirect Tax Compliance process, which incorporates tax return process management, technical review of tax calculations and analysis and delivery
* Support process improvement and change management initiatives for EMEA tax reporting, an ongoing focus on tax technology initiatives
* Support revenue authority enquiries and audits
* Responsible for identifying and communicating issues emanating from the regional Tax Reporting function

You will have:

* University degree, coupled with a formal accounting qualification
* Experience within a Tax Reporting function in commerce or an accountancy firm, ideally from within financial services
* Knowledge of indirect tax for large companies & consolidated groups, which includes tax accounting and compliance
