A Top 50 accountancy practice are seeking a VAT Assistant to join the growing team in their London office.
Your new company
With 4 offices across the South East, they take pride in providing a close and personal service to their clients. Their partners play a proactive role in the everyday business of the firm, in order to accurately understand their clients' requirements. They have a diverse portfolio, providing their services to start-ups, large organisations and OMBs, among others.
Your new role
You will assist clients with a wide range of technical issues and support VAT compliance staff with queries. This is a highly client-facing role, and over time you will begin to adopt your own portfolio of clients. You will be the only VAT junior on the team, so you will be in an excellent position to shine and show off your abilities, with oversight from the VAT Manager and Senior Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a trainee adviser with limited compliance experience. As they are aware of the looming consequences of Brexit, an interest in customs duties and cross-border trade issues will be very helpful. You will be keen to develop and adapt your VAT experience with a motivated and proactive attitude. Experience with accounting systems will be a bonus.
