The Senior Tax Manager - Structuring & M&A is responsible for the providing UK and international tax advice and support on all Group M&A and restructuring projects. The role is responsible for managing all the various aspects of tax support on a typical cross border or in territory M&A transaction including tax due diligence, tax efficient structuring and providing support to the lawyers and advisers on related legal documentation. The role has overall responsibility for driving all the tax aspects of large complex transactions and for tax matters relating to the group's holding structure.

The accountabilities include:

* Providing UK and international tax advice and support on all Group M&A and restructuring projects
* Managing all the various aspects of tax support on a typical cross border or in territory M&A transaction including tax due diligence, tax efficient structuring and providing support to the lawyers and advisers on related legal documentation.
* Responsible for driving all the tax aspects of large corporate transactions.
* Main point of contact for the M&A team from a tax perspective
* Meetings with M&A project team members to update them on the tax aspects of large M&A transactions - e.g. briefings relating to the projects and what is being done on the related tax aspects. This will include providing clear and "user friendly" tax advice on complex tax issues.
* Formulating tax strategy for the group including managing and reviewing the Group's holding structure for international investments and advising on tax risks and opportunities and on tax efficient financing and dividend policy,
* Supporting defence of tax matters on previous group M&A and structuring transactions. This can include dealing with external parties, managing external advisers and briefing senior management in the group - including local markets senior executives
* Planning in connection with the future strategy of the group as implemented through M&A transactions
