The Partner Office Partner Tax team is made up of approximately 20 staff, currently split into 5 teams dealing with the tax affairs of the Partners of PwC. It’s an exciting opportunity to tackle a variety of tax work without the need for completing timesheets and raising fee notes. Opportunities are available for ATT and CTA exam support and also the possibility of secondments to other areas of the Partner Office.
In this role you’ll:
Assist your allocation manager with their Partners (about 250)
Work on all aspects of the tax compliance for those clients including preparation of tax returns, checking tax payments and dealing with basic tax planning queries
Manage client contact by e-mail, telephone and occasional face to face meetings
Assist your manager with the tax reserves for Partners; including making ad-hoc tax payments, providing data for the tax reserve calculation and checking the outputs from that process
Take responsibility for some of the various ad-hoc tasks allocated amongst the Senior Associates which might include:
overseeing the PIP shadow payroll calculations
liaising with other teams regarding Partner secondments
overseeing the download of information from Tiger (global office)
preparation and maintenance of spreadsheets
preparing payment journals
preparing the monthly balance against GFS
Day to day management of Associates working on your clients, including;
allocating work
training where necessary
checking outcomes
making sure records of outstanding work are kept up to date
reminders issued on time.
Essential skills and experience
Good Tax technical knowledge
Knowledge of Tax compliance processes
Client focused - motivated to provide an excellent and timely service to Partners
Experience of supporting and managing junior staff
Strong communication skills
Discretion - as the personal information we deal with relates to partners of the Firm and potential colleagues.
