Accounts Senior - Cloud Accounting Specialist, Glasgow

Change Public Practice are working with a highly reputable Chartered Accountancy firm in Glasgow to assist them build and grow their cloud accounting offering within the Accounts & Business Services service line.

This role is a brand new position to assist the business in their growth and offering to their current and future client base. As the world of accountancy is evolving, the need for accounts and bookkeeping professionals with cloud accounting software exposure is becoming ever more demanding. This firm constantly listens to their clients and looks to evolve with their needs and therefore they are looking to add the cloud accounting software offering as a standalone service line. This area of the business will see a lot of investment and growth over the coming years and this is a fantastic opportunity to join something at the beginning and be part of its development.

With making tax digital a key focus, the successful person will be responsible for:
· Bookkeeping and management reporting using cloud accounting software
· VAT compliance
· Implementation of cloud accounting systems for clients using either manual records or desktop software
· Training clients on the use of cloud bookkeeping software and associated apps
· Identifying new apps and software for use by clients
· Supervision and training junior staff members

The ideal person will have the following experience:

· Either Qualified-by-Experience or a Newly Qualified Accountant i.e. AAT / ACCA / ICAS
· Minimum 3 years’ Public Practice experience
· Working in either an Accounts Assistant / Senior position with exposure to bookkeeping or working in a standalone Bookkeeping role
· You must have previous exposure to cloud based accounting software such as Xero, Iris Openbooks, FreeAgent cloud accounting etc.
