Rolling contract opportunity to work for a foods & drink business based in Surrey. This role will be initially 6 months to support the UK and Ireland Tax Manager and the UK and Ireland Tax Director on all activities related to corporation tax matters. The role encompasses tax compliance, tax reporting and tax advisory work.

Key Accountabilities:

* Corporation tax compliance
* Overseeing the preparation of the UK and Ireland tax computations by outsourced providers
* Calculating the worldwide debt cap model
* Calculating corporation tax payments on account
* Preparation of other statutory forms, e.g. Form 46G in respect of Ireland

Corporation tax reporting

* Preparation of corporation tax note in the UK and Ireland statutory accounts under FRS 101
* Quarterly forecasting and reporting corporation tax for UK and Ireland
* Preparation of prior year adjustments
* Year end provisioning

Corporation tax advisory

* Assist on the resolution of ad hoc queries and day-to-day issues raised by the business and provide relevant and practical advice promptly
* Calculate tax forecasts and total tax contribution as requested by various stakeholders in the business
* Manage the prompt processing of certificates of residency requests from the business
* Contribute to entity rationalisation projects

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:

* Qualified accountant or tax adviser (CTA or equivalent)
* Strong proven ability and 3+ years experience in UK corporate tax department
* Strong tax accounting understanding (IFRS and New UK GAAP)
* Time and project management skills, including a strong bias for action
* Presentation and communication skills
* Strong Excel skills
