JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Director will:
Serve as subject matter expert and provide seamless service delivery for all tax services for the company's High Net Worth clients and related accounts
Stay current and ahead of cutting-edge tax-related developments, legislative and regulatory changes on the domestic front
Serve as advocate on behalf of the individuals regarding Federal, State and Local tax issues
Work with colleagues as well as outside tax advisors and counsel to deliver integrated advisory services that exceed client expectations
Establish rapport with sophisticated clients to gain their confidence, gaining an intimate knowledge of their lives so as to be able to anticipate their needs and respond quickly to demanding clients’ various requests
Supervise, mentor and develop tax staff in respect the day-to-day delivery of tax services to the client
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of individual, fiduciary and gift tax returns for high net worth individuals and their affiliated entities
REQUIRED SKILLS
15+ years of extensive experience working with High Net Worth Individuals in Tax and/or Family Office environment
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Tax Consulting and Compliance experience
In-depth familiarity with Tax research techniques and resources
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Desired Skills
Master's Degree in Taxation or Juris Doctorate
