Led by four partners and two RI's, the financial services audit team work with firms from the following sectors: Investment Management; Banking; Insurance and other FCA regulated entities (e.g. brokers, traders, payday lenders).

You'll ensure that all work allocated is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm's professional standards and to the satisfaction of clients and engagement partners. Further, you'll ensure that all employees are managed and developed to the maximum of their potential and to assist in the development of the office.

What you'll be doing


• you'll take responsibility for managing a key client portfolio and will build and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues and clients
• you'll be a key contact for the client on day-to-day matters and will advise the client when tackling changes to the business
• you'll take the lead on dealing with large, technically complex clients with minimal partner input
• you'll manage a number of audit teams and ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
• you'll check that audit work papers have been properly reviewed and that audit files are completed in a timely manner and are properly filed and maintained on the network

• you'll prepare and present proposals for new work

• you'll organise and attend office marketing events and will be aware of the wide range of services the firm offers

Education, experience and qualifications:

you'll hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent)

you'll have significant post-qualified experience in audit within practice

you'll have experience of auditing financial services organisations, in particular insurance firms
you'll have experience of working on large audits and complex groups in addition to dealing with complex technical matters

you'll have good working knowledge of compliance and regulation
you'll have the proven ability to support and mentor junior staff
