Overview
A fast growing, and very successful UK based International VAT Consultancy is looking for a Senior European VAT Specialist to join them in a purely advisory based position to work on International cross border projects. This company combines a high level of quality work with a really good work life balance.
Responsibilities
- Managing relationships with clients
- Delivering high quality consulting advice to clients
- Providing support and guidance to the junior consultants within the consulting team
- Providing technical advice to the compliance and consulting teams
- Providing support as required to the business development managers in identifying opportunities with new and existing clients
Advisory projects could consist of:
- Customs Duty and Import VAT matters
- Risk Management
- International invoicing regulations
- International VAT Strategy Planning
- Tax Authority Negotiations
- VAT Training
Your Experience
Must have
- Good technical knowledge of VAT from at least one EU jurisdiction
- Experience level would be the equivalent of Manager/Senior Manager in a Big Four Accounting Firm or equivalent
- Proficient in written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Experience of dealing with cross border VAT issues
- Fluency in a second language
