Private Client Tax Assistant Manager or Manager, Swindon

This Private Client Tax Assistant Manager or Manager role offers an excellent opportunity to build on your existing skills and private client tax technical knowledge with a respected and established practice in their Swindon office.

The tax team is 15 strong, with a friendly and collective ethos.

The client base is high quality, with typical worth in the region of £25million - £50million, although some are considerably larger. This will therefore present you with plenty of interesting and sometimes quite complex technical private client tax work.

Reporting predominantly to the head of private client tax and also to the tax director, you will spend approximately 50% of your time managing a high net worth and ultra high net worth private client portfolio and the remaining 50% assisting with advisory work that will span income tax, inheritance tax planning, CGT and Trust work.

While your main office will be in Swindon, some travel to the other south west offices will be required on occasions.

Suitable candidates will be responsible in outlook and capable of managing their own work, although equally importantly, confident to seek assistance when needed as well.

This firm is looking to hire the right person, which may be someone who is currently an assistant manager, looking for a step up to manager, or a manager with the appetite to expand their horizons with a practice that can offer the chance to achieve their career ambitions.

This position offers a competitive market rate salary and benefits package, the platform to make senior manager within 3-5 years, and then scope to work towards making partner from there.

Perhaps you are currently working for a mid tier accountancy firm, or a smaller outfit that nonetheless boasts a private client tax practice of pedigree; you are also likely to be CTA or CA qualified, with some experience of providing tax advice to clients, in addition to a confident tax compliance background.
