Tax Investigation and Dispute Resolution Manager, London

A Big 4 firm is looking for an ambitious Tax Investigations and Dispute Resolution Manager to join their office in London.

The successful candidate will be working alongside client services team to provide clients with the best advice on how to avoid, manage and resolve tax enquiries. This involves responding to HMRC request for information or explanations, defend filing positions and negotiate settlements where adjustments to tax are required.

Responsibility:

- Providing Tax Investigation and Dispute Resolution services to a variety of National Markets clients and overseeing the successful delivery of tax investigations projects
- Liaising with specialists in other departments to apply their specialist knowledge to assist with client tax enquiries e.g transfer pricing, accounting, capital allowances
- Working alongside client services teams who will have a deep understanding of the client’s business and how they manage tax, supporting them to provide the client with the best advice on how to manage HMRC enquiries
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and understanding the client’s business in order to identify areas for the provision of tax and other services
- Seeking out and pursuing business development opportunities with clients and targets and actively participating with Directors/Partners in business development activities

Skills and Qualifications:

- Track record of successfully assisting clients managing tax investigations
- Ability to build relationships with senior contact at HMRC
- Strong positioning/negotiating skills
- High level analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
