VAT & Tax Accountant, North London

A large multinational company that offers a range of different insurance for groups and individuals.


An international recognised insurer based in north London is looking for a Corporate Tax Accountant. The company is experiencing significant growth and as such an unparalleled position has been created for a Corporate Tax Accountant to really add value to the tax team.


As a core member of the tax team you will be ensuring compliance by the UK division and its tax reporting obligations. Your success will be driven by quarterly VAT reporting and operating data processes. You will prepare and delivery advice to the business on VAT related topics. Another part of the role will be to maintain compliance procedures to ensure VAT is properly dealt with by the business .You will also be responsible for the submission of miscellaneous on behalf of the UK division.

To succeed in this role a good knowledge of VAT legislation would be ideal especially applicable to the financial services industry including partial exemption, cross border and property transactions. A good knowledge of employment tax legislation, including BIKs, PAYE and PSA. An ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders would be highly beneficial.
