The head of the private client team is more than a traditional tax consultant, he is someone who is capable of looking at the bigger picture and thinking strategically.
The trust partner is a highly experienced individual who is extremely gregarious and likeable. He will act as a mentor figure to you to ensure you are familiar with all aspects of your clients and the role - vital if you want to impress in your first twelve months.
The role:
You will have a number of responsibilities on joining. As the manager of the team your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the work is undertaken to a high standard. This will include reviewing work, ensuring your staff have a training plan in place and mentoring and progressing team members who show promise. Alongside your management responsibilities you will have a portfolio of large trusts and landed estates.
Prospects:
The Senior Management team wants to secure the future leader of the department. There is a succession issue (5-7 years) and a need and desire to grow and develop the trust team.
