Role description
You might own or manage key elements of a client relationship and, with an appropriate level of support, will be expected to proactively identify innovative solutions for your clients and pursue new business development opportunities by utilising your networks and market knowledge.

Our Consultants take the lead on delivering key parts of our client services. As a Consultant you will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients.

Our Consultants are also either people managers or act as coaches and role models to the Analysts in their team. You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise or specialism.

Location
UK wide, covering London and regional locations.

Responsibilities
A Consultant will have responsibility for:

- Working as part of a team to deliver social security advice, consulting projects and core compliance services to your clients;
- Owning all aspects of a portfolio of small and mid-tier clients, with responsibility for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through building client relationships;
- Working with senior management to identify and pursue new business development opportunities on top-tier clients;
- Playing an active role supporting senior team members with driving forward the group’s strategic plan;
- Working with senior management to raise the profile of social security services in the national market both internally and externally;
- Helping to build the wider practice by mentoring less experienced people in the team, and playing a key role in their development.

The role may involve a significant amount of travel within the UK and overseas and will require the flexibility to meet peaks of work inherent in the cycle of a deal.

Requirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

- Experience of dealing with international social security issues. Consideration will be given to candidates with expatriate/ mobility tax who are keen to specialise in this area.
- Experience of assisting in maintaining and developing client relationships.
- Experience, and a keen in interest in, generating business development opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience of supervising less experienced staff.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
