Practice Accountant role in Winchester Great for someone who wants autonomy and not wanting to manage a team

Your new company
This is a well established hugely successful practice based in Winchester. This is a business with a flat business structure which means they only hire experienced accounting professionals. This environment would suit accountants who are not looking to manage a team and train junior members of staff. If your skills lie in managing a client portfolio and focusing on doing rather than managing. Reporting into the Directors this is a great business which will suit someone who enjoys working autonomously.

Your new role
You will be part of the Accounts team of approximately 35 people along side the 12 person strong Tax team. You will be managing a portfolio of clients and dealing with complex accounts. The Client base is predominantly rural, agricultural and family businesses.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a minimum of 7 years Practice experience managing a client portfolio. You will be working autonomously and not managing a team. Should you have experience of dealing with trust accounts this would be hugely advantageous. You will need to be ACCA/ACA or QBE.

You will be able to work autonomously with no micro-managing and develop strong ongoing relationships with clients. There is already a strongly established client base and much of their new business comes from referrals so no business development is required in this role.
