About you
Reporting to the Head of Tax Transformation and Projects, this is a challenging role managing the tax aspects of the business’s ongoing Finance and wider systems based transformation projects. The role covers both UK and overseas processes and systems, with initial focus on the UK.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Tax department’s business requirements are well understood by the transformation / IT teams and monitoring progress to ensure these requirements are delivered.
You will be involved in the transformation projects from inception through to user acceptance testing and deployment. For those projects which are in a business as usual state, you will be looking to incrementally improve systems and processes further enhance value for the business.
You will also work closely with the Head of Tax Transformation and Projects to effectively deliver these larger transformation projects as well as ad hoc projects and have a proven ability to build cross functional relationships and work pragmatically to deliver business objectives.
You will build strong and effective lines of communication with tax department stakeholders to ensure they are aware of systems and process developments and are comfortable these meet technical requirements.
The role may involve some overseas travel.
The requirements
• Professional accountancy &/or taxation qualification
• Practical knowledge and experience of VAT in SAP (or Oracle)
• Ability to manage cross functional interactions effectively
• Commercial and able to demonstrate sound judgement
• Experience in process mapping
