If you are looking for an environment different to the Big 4 or a specialist boutique, this could be the next career move for you. Retaining the punch of a major accountancy firm, yet not overwhelming in team size or bureaucracy, every individual’s input counts and makes a difference. Your career progression is taken seriously and there is sufficient headroom for your pathway not to be blocked. You will be visible within the company, enjoy challenging work and be empowered to contribute to your own and the company’s success.
The team prides itself on technical expertise and great client service and enjoys quality work. The firm also prides itself on supporting the wellbeing of its staff and there is a culture of work life balance that is so often lacking elsewhere.
Individuals who possess the necessary skills for this role will have most of the following experience:
• Reviewing US tax returns for US expats and foreign nationals
• Managing US filing extensions prepared by junior members of staff
• Reviewing UK tax returns
• Managing correspondence with HMRC and the IRS
• US / UK planning and advisory work
• STBV agreements
• Tax equalisation / tax protection calculations
• International social security planning for expats
• International assignment planning
• Training and supporting junior team members
• WIP management and taking responsibility for invoicing
• Pro-systems and CCH software
• Qualified Enrolled Agent
Ideally you will also have passed the ATT qualification, although the opportunity to study for this is available providing you have the requisite US tax skills.
The right person for the role will be naturally ambitious and commercial with excellent communication and organisational skills and enjoy being part of a productive and successful team.
