In-house Rest of World Tax Manager (SM Level)

Exclusively assigned to Nebula Partners. This NASDAQ listed corporate has an international hub servicing the rest of the world, based in Central London. With an impressive multinational client base, it keeps businesses up to date with technological advancements and step changes in the way businesses utilise technology. With a fast faced working cultural this organisation is going through an exciting growth phase internationally following a significant acquisition. This has led to a number of strategic appointments and the need for a newly created International Tax Director, based in London.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the tax function for the UK Group and its non US operations internationally (customers in 100+ countries). Duties will include; strategy and planning, M&A, tax consequences of integration, corporate tax compliance and tax accounting. Furthermore, you will partner regularly with internal stakeholders to research and communicate the tax aspects of various customer opportunities.


Advisory & Projects:

In this strategic role you will advise on the necessary changes in legal structure, systems, etc.
Management of tax advice during strategic M&A, with follow up integration projects
Oversee all non US/Canada tax issues arising from having a UK holding company structure, including Country by Country reporting and other BEPS related legislative changes
Support and advise tax effectiveness and compliance for international business opportunities with key stakeholders; finance, sales and legal
Identify and implement opportunities to manage the group’s cash tax expense, taking into consideration tax impacts to the US parent group and working closely with the US tax team
Work closely with the finance team, including treasury and accounting personnel to mitigate tax risks associated with cash transfers among the group and transfer pricing documentation
Communicate effectively with Hub CFO and US tax personnel regarding tax risk and opportunities within the group
Review and implement improvements to the Transfer Pricing Model
Research and communicate the tax aspects of various integration initiatives
Monitor and communicate tax impact of changes in tax laws in jurisdictions in which the UK group operates
Support global mobility programs

Risk, Reporting & Compliance:

Manage the relationship with Big 4
Review all UK group companies corporate tax return filings and the tax numbers and disclosures for the UK statutory accounts
Directly manage all HMRC correspondence and tax audits related to the UK tax group and support SAO requirements
Manage the tax compliance and accounting co-sourcing arrangement with outside advisors
Support forecasting process from a cash tax and effective tax rate perspective
Support monthly and year-end tax close process
Support the US tax group on US tax compliance and global tax provision matters
Manage annual transfer pricing documentation for UK group
Support implementation of country by country reporting requirements


About you:

ACA / CTA / ADIT qualified
International tax advisory experience, preferably Europe & ASPAC
UK trained, preferably Big 4
In-house experience or client secondment
Direct tax background with some TP and or indirect exposure
Tax accounting – USGAAP knowledge preferred not essential
Proven project and time management skills
Need ability to interact and communicate in plain language with a multitude of departments (Finance, Sales, HR, Legal, Operations and Treasury).
