Interim Financial Controller/ Accountant, South Cambridgeshire, 3 month assignment
Your new company
Manufacturing organisation based in South Cambridgeshire are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant/ Controller on an temporary basis. As a result of internal promotion and a busy period for the organisation an experienced Accountant is required to support the Finance Director. Its thought the initial requirement will be for 3 months but this could go on longer.
Your new role
Working alongside a team of 15 other accounting professionals you will support the Finance Director to ensure all financial deadlines are met. You will oversee all aspects of general ledger including management of balance sheet reconciliations, credit control, month end close, group corporation tax submissions, VAT and various other ad hoc tasks. You will play a key role in stabilising the finance team and help supervise/ mentor the junior members of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting capabilities. You will have worked for medium/ large sized organisations and be available to start imminently. Previous experience working in a manufacturing organisation would be highly advantageous, as would working knowledge of JD Edwards.
