The overall job purpose of The National Tax department provides technical support to the firm's Tax Faculty and includes a team of technical officers covering the range of UK taxes on which the firm advises.
As a qualified ACA or CTA you will cover the following:
* Identifying potential business development and marketing initiatives from case law/legislative developments in conjunction with the specialist groups, liaising with the national marketing team as appropriate;
* Preparing and/or reviewing tax content in the firm's external marketing materials and publications (including Tax Voice etc) and coverage of the Chancellor's Budget and similar events as necessary;
* Preparing and/or reviewing the firm's other tax related press release materials, including articles for the national, regional and tax technical press as necessary;
* Agreeing and recording the firm's policies on tax matters including, in particular, those relevant to their allocated specialist area(s), as documented in the firm's Tax Manual;
* Co-ordinating and contributing to external consultations (HMRC, HM Treasury etc) involving matters relevant to their allocated specialist area(s);
* Communicating key developments in their allocated specialist area through contribution to the monthly Tax Technical Update and ad-hoc Tax Faculty Alerts;
This role is can be based in London, Milton Keynes, Basingstoke, Gatwick, Guildford, or Southampton hence the the firm is incredibly happy to work the hours, location, around the right person.
