Based in London, this global bank are keen looking for a Senior Tax Reporting and Compliance Manager, the role holder will be directly responsible for the management of all financial reporting requirements for tax globally. As well as involvement in quarter end and year end, there will be a significant number of ad hoc projects throughout the year supporting ad hoc or strategic requests from senior management.

The Senior Tax Reporting and Compliance Manager role is within the UK Corporation Tax team which has responsibility for the management of all aspects of UK corporation tax position including planning, reporting, compliance and tax risk management. In addition to delivering UK Corporation Tax, the team has responsibility for managing all global tax planning and reporting processes.

Role Purpose

The role holder will be directly responsible for the management of all financial reporting requirements for tax globally. As well as involvement in quarter end and year end, there will be a significant number of ad hoc projects throughout the year supporting ad hoc or strategic requests from senior management.

Key Accountabilities

* Group Tax Reporting:
o Overall management and co-ordination of quarter end and year end tax reporting requirements
o Production of key external and internal documents including annual report, country snapshot, investor relations analysis, board audit committee papers
o Management of auditor relationship
* UK Corporation Tax
o As part of the wider Corporation Tax team there will be significant opportunity to contribute to the full range of activities within the team of a project or business as usual basis
* Process improvement
o Lead technology and process improvement
o Ensure the tax reporting process is maintained to respond to wider organisational change (e.g. SRP)
* Management and leadership
o Manage and develop junior team members to ensure the growth of talent and high performance contributions
o Contribute to a broader management role across the Corporation Tax team - supporting a dynamic and positive working culture, encourage problem solving between teams, involvement in citizenship activities
* Stakeholder management and leadership
o The role holder will have direct interaction on a regular basis at the Head of Tax level. In addition they will represent tax to the Group Financial Reporting and Investor Relations teams
* Decision making and problem solving.
o Analytical skills and ability to review tax reporting results including:
 Explain driver of the group's effective tax rate and deferred tax balances
 Ability to ensure accuracy and solve data breaks
 Proactively improve tax reporting

Person Specification
* Qualified accountant
* Strong academic background, degree educated
* Self-motivated, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* A methodical approach to problem solving, and excellent judgement in subjective areas
* Very strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Experience of delivering oral and written presentations at a senior level
* An ability to break complex issues into simple bit sized pieces
