The firm is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisers who are currently looking to make a strategic hire due to their recent success. The role will sit within their business services team and is probably best described as Client Manager with overall responsibilities for the firms Small Business Unit.
The core responsibilities which are non-exhaustive are to:
- Manage the overall small business unit which includes 3 members of staff
- Full statutory accounts preparation for a wide range of clients typically from start up through to entrepreneurial owner managed businesses typically with an annual turnover of £1.5M to £5M.
- The role will include plenty of project work, client liaison and advising clients on a number of accounting areas to include; incorporation, shareholder remuneration and all accounting advice relevant to small entrepreneurial business owners.
- The portfolio is of a significant size coupled with the overseeing of staff (relevant review work) will make this a busy and challenging role particularly as the firm continues to grow.
The role will suit an accounting professional who is ACA or ACCA Qualified with a number of years of post qualification experience. You may be currently working as a Business Services Manager in a larger firm and seek a move to develop your professional career in a more autonomous environment. Or perhaps you are in a smaller independent firm and have reached a "glass ceiling" and need to make a move to a young and progressive firm. You will enjoy working in a highly professional and energetic environment.
The salary band of £45000 to £50000 has been set by Fletcher George; this is offered as a guideline and will depend on the individuals relevant post qualification experience.
