Tax Semi Senior - Central London

Our client, a Central London based professional services firm is looking to further develop their growing tax department with a Tax Advisor. They are offering a mixed tax position dealing with mainly advisory work but with some involvement in compliance matters. A strong remuneration package and good career progression is on offer to the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of UHNWI and corporate clients with tax matters ranging from corporation tax, personal tax, OMBs, land tax transactions and indirect tax. The type of work will involve compliance work, eventually becoming involved in advisory and planning projects.

Responsibilities

● Completion of tax returns and tax reporting for individuals and onshore and offshore companies
● Dealing with a wide range of tax compliance matters for the client portfolio
● Corresponding with HMRC, clients and other third parties
● Respond to HMRC and client enquiries
● Registering clients for annual tax filings
● Working closely with senior staff to develop advisory and technical tax planning skills
● Ability to assist with HMRC enquiries and prepare correspondence
● Filing P11D’s, notifying clients when payments are due, arranging repayments and maintaining schedules of tax information sheet for each client
● Assisting with the billing and ensuring that the internal client workflow records are up-to-date

The Candidate

● ATT studying/ qualified or equivalent
● Degree educated from a reputable university
● At least two years’ tax experience in a professional services firm
● Awareness of KYC/AML compliance
● Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
● Strong IT skills with previous exposure to tax, legal or finance professional software products
