This opportunity is for an assistant accountant within the tax team who are responsible for the delivery of tax compliance services and the provision of tax advice to the University and its subsidiaries.
This role will support the delivery of the tax team’s key responsibilities. The specific responsibilities of the post include completion of direct tax returns to the highest standard for review by senior colleagues, completion of direct tax reports required by management accountants and provision of general tax advice to colleagues across the University. There will also be an opportunity to assist the tax team on a variety of other tax returns including indirect tax and employment tax returns.
This role is an excellent development opportunity for anyone looking to build tax skills and experience. In addition, this role is ideal for a part qualified accountant or chartered tax advisor looking to gain the necessary experience to complete their qualifications and to progress to a future accountant/senior tax role.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical competencies in Windows excel & the use of financial systems. The successful candidate will also have a keen interest in learning about and developing skills and experience in relation to tax compliance and tax advisory services.
