Your new company
A US listed pharma / bio-tech business based in Cambridge. Market leaders in their particular sector, they develop revolutionary drugs for the treatment of neurological conditions.


Your new role
As the inaugural tax manager you'll be responsible for managing the tax compliance and helping shape the UK tax strategy. You'll work with external advisors on a variety of planning and advisory projects, in particular transfer pricing, patent box and R&D. There will also be exposure to VAT, PAYE and employment taxes and whilst any prior experience is advantageous, it's not a prerequisite. The compliance element will account for around a third of your time with the more added value work being the remainder.


What you'll need to succeed
You'll be professionally qualified; ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CTA
Significant experience in UK corporate tax, either straight from practice or industry
Knowledge of SOX
A solid communicator
The ability to converse with senior figures in the business
