A unique opportunity to work in one the largest insurance companies' in-house tax team has come about due to a restructuring of the finance division. This 12-month fixed-term-contract is a unique opportunity for an individual who has been looking to transition from the private practice space and into an in-house role. This is quite a broad role covering day-to-day compliance and tax reporting obligations as well as general tax calculations for the subsidiaries in Australia.
In this role your key responsibilities will be;
* Assistance with R&D tax incentives
* Monthly tax analysis of tax sensitive accounts for various tax reporting purposes
* Preparation of tax journals and monthly reconciliations
* Monitoring of withholding tax accounts and make payments as required
The successful applicant will have a profile similar to;
* 3+ years' experience with a Big-4 or mid-tier accounting firm in the Tax division
* Degree qualified with either CA, CTA or qualified lawyer
* Experience with researching and drafting relevant tax advice
* Willing to adapt/learn in-house reporting systems
* Excellent knowledge of tax accounting principles and basic tax knowledge
