Senior Manager - Tax Accounting Process, London

This is a new opportunity with a leading tax service provider, which provides a full range of accounting, tax and transactions advice to multinational clients. The role is based in London, although will have a very international dimension and will lead to some (not extensive) business travel. The firm is now growing further their tax technology and compliance / reporting outsourcing business, and due to winning a number of recent contracts, they are now looking to hire a key Senior Manger with experience of IFRS / GAAP tax accounting & reporting process to be both operational in managing projects as well as further developing the business.

Key activities will include:

Providing tax technical input for audit of tax on a mix of listed and non-listed multinational groups;

Supporting clients with their group/statutory Tax Reporting needs; including delivery and project management on global outsource contracts under US GAAP and IFRS;

Providing advice to clients on GAAP conversion projects, whether in respect of the recent UK GAAP changes or part of acquisition conversions/listings etc;

Leading tax accounting project work, including, inter alia, special purpose accounts, tax risk provision reviews under IFRS/US GAAP, providing tax accounting training and advising clients on process improvements and changes to accounting standards

Delivering corporate tax compliance and outsourcing engagements;

Taking a lead on sales activities by working with more senior members of the team to generate additional work opportunities for both existing clients and targets, supporting proposals and propositions across functions, sectors and accounts;

Coaching and developing junior members of staff.

In terms of your background, you may already have established experience on the consulting side of the market in the area of tax compliance & tax reporting process improvement, and now looking for the next step in your career. You may be operating at Manager level, but feeling you are ready to break into Senior Manager level. Alternatively, you may be working in industry as a Tax Reporting Manager or Tax Compliance Manager, with hands-on user experience of SAP and other tax software, now looking to take that knowledge and experience across to the consulting side, which will be extremely valuable as you will have seen the market from the 'buyer's perspective'.
