Practice Manager – Leading Independent Firm in Essex - £40,000 - £45,

An exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant looking to take that next step up in their career, or for someone who is already a Practice Manager and is looking for new challenge in an ambitious Chartered Accountancy Firm based in Chelmsford. 

My client is seeking someone who is ideally a qualified ACCA or ACA who has experience of working within Accountancy Practice and who is a very competent user of Cloud software, preferably Xero and QuickBooks. 

Duties to include but not limited to:

● Managing and developing a diverse portfolio of clients.
● Ensuring assignments are fully completed before being passed to Partners.
● Planning the assignment efficiently to meet budgets and recoverability of fees required, and communicate this to the team.
● You will be heavily involved with the development of the business and instrumental in improving processes and implementing new systems.
● Overseeing the training of junior staff
● Completing regular review of work to ensure compliance standards are met.
● Interact fully with clients in conjunction with senior audit team, ensuring they are kept informed of progress.
● Develop and apply complex, specialist technical knowledge and experience, and advising the team as required.

Skills required

● A strong background in Accountancy Practice.
● Ideally ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified.
● Good working knowledge of accountancy and audit software’s.
● Successful experience managing a team.
