VAT Compliance Senior Manager | Top 10 Firm | Central London | Up to £70k

Are you a Indirect Tax Manager looking for the next step in your career? This Top 10 Firm is one of the largest accounting and consulting associations outside the Big 4, comprising 647 offices in 98 countries worldwide, involving over 21,000 partners, principals and staff. This Indirect Tax department provides taxation services to its mainly corporate, clients. It prepares tax provisions for financial statements, tax returns and computations, carries out tax consultancy work, and deals with HMRC, clients and third parties.

Your new role
This role will have a mixed compliance and advisory focus. You will lead team members in the provision of consultancy work, managing and developing junior staff and developing business for the firm. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the tax compliance function. You will review and submit VAT returns, European Sales Lists, Intrastat forms and MOSS returns to HMRC for approximately 90 existing clients. You will be managing VAT registrations, deregistrations, options to tax and error corrections. You will ensure that client take on procedures and letters of engagement are prepared correctly, accurately and that these are recorded and kept up to date. You will prepare appeals against default surcharges where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be ATT/ACA/CTA qualified preferably indirect tax route. You must be able to provide authoritative guidance in indirect tax and be considered a subject matter expert. You must be able to resolve complex and varied issues based on precedent and experience. You will have prior experience of managing a team (or teams as required) to ensure a high quality delivery of cases and assignments, meeting all client and firm expectations with reference to budget and timeline.
