Tax Manager - Practice

Experienced tax manager job with small established accountancy practice firm in Bournemouth

You will be working for a small friendly firm of accountants with a strong local reputation who are seeking to add a new member of staff to their team

Your new role
Working as the Tax Manager for this firm of accountants you will be responsible for organising the Tax department to include planning workloads, working to tight timescales and meeting deadlines; completion of Personal Tax work to include Sole Traders and Partnership, Corporate Tax returns and also Trust returns; undertaking extensive tax planning and capital gains tax planning for directors and sole traders; dealing with and managing HMRC enquiries including Personal, Corporate and PAYE ; dealing with HMRC on a general basis by phone, email and post and also attending meetings to represent and assist clients when required.
You will also be required to undertake ad hoc tax work, such as Business Demergers and Sales and EMI Share Scheme planning and the preparation of end of year P11D's , in year Benefit changes and electronic changes via payroll software as required.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have extensive experience of managing the tax process within another accountancy practice ideally with exposure to staff management/supervision and planning of work.
If you are ATT and/or CTA qualified that would be a bonus.
This is a key role for the firm so they need someone who can stand on their own two feet and does not require any supervision.
