A Top 50 firm of accountants are currently looking for a Trust Tax Assistant for their Norwich office. An excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate with some accounts experience who is looking for an entry into the world of Trust taxation with one of the country’s leading accountancy firms.
The Role
Working as part of the Business and Private Department, you will assist in the preparation of trust accounts and tax returns and provide support to portfolio holders in the Trust team
Responsibilities will include;
● Assisting in preparation and review of tax returns and computations by entering information provided by clients
● Assisting in preparation of trust accounts from information provided by clients
● Liaising with HMRC and other bodies regarding client affairs
● Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of trust clients
● Building awareness of the services offered by the firm and spotting opportunities to sell these clients
● Involvement in marketing and business development as required
● Attending training courses as necessary to develop technical and personal skills
The Candidate
● Good academic background
● Experience working in accountancy practice. Part or fully qualified ACCA/ ATT or qualified AAT desirable. If not qualified, ATT/ AAT study support will be provided.
● A positive attitude towards training and building a career in trusts
● Strong IT skills
● Methodical, accurate. Strong team worker with good prioritisation and organisational skills
● Professional, and comfortable liaising with candidates
