AJ Chambers are currently recruiting for a Tax Advisory Manager for a leading financial services firm based near Ipswich. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their skills and eventually progress onto a Partner/Director role. A strong remuneration package is on offer to the right candidate.
Job Role
The firm is offering a mainly advisory role with some involvement in compliance work, dealing with both personal and corporate clients. In addition you will be in charge of assisting the development of junior members of staff and attending meetings with clients.
Responsibilities
● Managing your own portfolio of Clients
● Reviewing work completed by junior members of staff
● Providing capital gains, inheritance tax and VAT advice
● Report letter drafting for clients tax advice, covering any tax
● PAYE compliance reviews and PAYE settlement agreements
● VAT investigations
● Meeting with new and existing clients to progress projects and strengthen relationships
● Providing technical advice to all sectors of the firm
● Attending meetings with clients to discuss and finalise tax matters
● Client development
● Assisting in the management of work in the department
● Monitoring and recording staff performance
The Candidate
● ATT or CTA qualified or able to demonstrate relevant experience
● Experience in a client facing role
● Proven tax advisory experience (ideally within practice)
● Ability to interact effectively with all colleagues across the group and wider business
● Understanding of how to use tax software; CCH Personal, Digita Corporate (however training will be given)
