Head of International Tax, London

A Head of International Tax role has been created in an instantly recognisable global brand that is transitioning through an exciting period of change and growth. The role reports into the newly appointed Group Tax Director who is building a tax team that will engage and partner with the business to ensure tax remains high on the agenda. The business has a strong appetite to expand internationally both organically and through M&A activity, giving rise to a wealth of opportunity for this role to develop.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

* Working with the Group Tax Director and other key decision makers within the business, to develop and deliver a robust international tax strategy across the group.
* Being a business partner and technical lead on all international tax issues to manage compliance and reporting to ensure obligations are met across all regions

* Design, implement and monitor the group's transfer pricing strategy and ensure appropriate documentation is in place, including negotiation with tax authorities where necessary
* Tax lead for mergers & acquisitions, new business initiatives, business restructuring, and entry into new countries.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the same drive and energy that is evident across all areas of the business and be proactive in making an impact internally and across the wider sector. The client is open to candidates at Senior Manager level either looking for their first move from the Big 4 or a move within commerce. You will have a strong UK and international tax background with the ability to build relationships across the business with enough gravitas to influence senior stakeholders.
