Tax Manager - Leading Independent Firm

AJ Chambers are currently working with a leading Independent firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking to bring a Private Client Tax Manager into their team. They are offering an excellent remuneration package as well as broad commercial exposure to a variety of compliance and advisory issues.

The Role

The main purpose of the role is to manage the tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, trusts and non-resident companies and non-domicile individuals, as well as providing support to the colleagues across the firm with compliance related Tax advice.

Main Responsibilities

● Managing the portfolio of personal tax clients across the firm through the client tax team.
● Preparation of complex tax returns and those for HNWIs / Non-Doms / Non-Residents
● Managing the review process of less complex returns
● Developing the firm’s offering of trust tax compliance services
● Training of junior staff in tax compliance and advisory
● Ad hoc advisory work across the group clientele
● Identify tax planning opportunities in the firm’s clientele and referring them to the Professional Corporate Planning department

The Candidate

● Extensive personal tax experience. ATT/ CTA/ ACA/ ACCA qualification desirable but by no means necessary
● Superb client liaison skills
● Ability to multi-task needs of different partners across the business
● Ensuring deadlines are met and finding solutions before deadlines have arisen
