A Top 10 Firm are currently looking to expand their VAT team based in North Cambridge, with an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager. The role will be a mix of advisory and compliance whilst managing your own portfolio of clients. A strong remuneration package is on offer to the right candidate.
Job Description
The role will be a mix of compliance and advisory, which will involve managing your own portfolio of clients as well as liaising with HMRC to resolve complex and contentious matters. In addition you will be assisting in the management of more junior members of staff.
Responsibilities
● Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, ensuring you understand and manage their expectations effectively at all times
● Analyse and interpret data to provide solutions to client tax issues
● Produce tax reports, which are accessible to the client
● Manage your own portfolio of clients
● Motivate and coach more junior members of staff
The Candidate
● CTA qualified or able to demonstrate relevant experience
● Substantial experience consulting clients on complex VAT issues
● Started your own project work with clients
● Able to service a varying portfolio, ranging from international businesses to not-for-profit organisations
