Senior Personal Tax Manager - 30 minutes from London

This is a global firm with a very strong presence in the area, run by friendly and forward thinking partners. They have a track record of developing professionals who want to advance, as they feel it’s a fundamental business principal to encourage ambition in a professional services firm. You would think that would be the norm, but I am sure you have worked in firms that did not have this culture.
 

They are definitely not a ‘second in command’ to London – which can sometimes be the case for regional offices of large firms. This is definitely not the case for this firm. They are aware of the potential in areas outside of London and have become hugely successful in the Gatwick Diamond.
 
 
What does the role involve?
 
You will support the private client tax partner on high level private client tax projects and team management. You will essentially be the number two to the private client tax partner, focusing on advisory work from their portfolio. You will provide advice on issues such as tax efficient schemes, pension, IHT and CGT related planning. The private client tax partner has a highly credible background and is a friendly and dynamic presence in the firm. You will have the opportunity of shadowing the partner and developing your own network. There is a manager and more junior staff that you would be coaching and developing also.
 
The quality of the tax team and its client base is one the major selling points for this role and will further improve your technical ability.

The ‘tools’ will include giving you exposure to some of the firms best clients to improve your technical and commercial skills, as well as an internal mentoring program that will allow you to learn and develop.
