In House VAT Accountant - Cheshire

In - House Senior VAT Accountant in based in the Warrington office. The role is predominantly VAT related however as a part of of the Tax Compliance & Reporting Team the role is likely to involve aspects of corporate tax compliance.

Essentially you will be responsible for all aspects of UK VAT compliance including preparation and submission of VAT and statistical returns and liaison with HMRC, and manage the transition to digital reporting, as well as providing ad hoc VAT technical expertise
Working as part of a small in house team you will also have the opportunity for involvement in Corporate Tax compliance matters for example tax return preparation and providing support for BEPS related compliance. You should be ACA and / or CTA qualified with experience of working in a UK corporate tax role. Your background could either be in industry and looking to make the step up to manager or may be in practice looking for a move in-house.
Ideally you will hold an accountancy qualified (CTA preferable), have significant practical experience in VAT dominant role as well as high levels of accuracy and eye for detail
