ACCOUNTS SENIOR | ACCA / ACA | £33,000 - £40,000
AJ Chambers are seeking looking to recruit an ACCA qualified Accounts Senior to join a successful firm of Chartered Accountants based in NW London. They are a fast growing and ambitious firm who have a passion for accountancy and exceed expectations.
The Role
Shared charge of preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, largely consisting of Limited Companies with a turnover up to of £100m. This multifaceted role has a varied focus to include the delivery of accountancy and tax compliance engagements, planning and budgeting of jobs, staff mentorship, supervision and appraisal, business development and networking.
Responsibilities
- Preparing limited company accounts
- Preparing corporation tax returns
- Preparing sole trader, partnership and rental accounts
- Preparing VAT returns
- Communicating and corresponding with clients
- Maintaining relationships with the firms existing clients
- Review and supervise clients and staff
- Capable of time management for yourself and staff members to meet deadlines
- Communicating with HMRC
The Ideal Candidate will be:
- Qualified ACCA or part qualified or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience within a practice environment
- Good general knowledge of income tax, capital allowances and employment taxes and benefits
- Knowledge of capital gains tax, corporation tax and inheritance tax
- Knowledge of tax planning and advice, advice on VAT matters such as the VAT flat rate scheme and VAT registration and advice on national insurance matters
- A good knowledge of limited company accounts and the issues affecting small limited companies Knowledge of PAYE regulations
- Experience of accounting software such as Kashflow, IRIS, Quickbooks, SAGE (however, training can be provided if necessary)
- Good communicator both verbally and written
