Tax Assistant Manager - Financial Services

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/CTA Qualified Assistant Manager to join a leading Global Asset Management firm, with offices covering London, New York, Hong Kong & Sydney.

This role is ideal for an individual who has extensive experience within financial services, covering the Asset Management, Private Equity, Hedge Fund or Insurance market. This candidate will be passionate about pursuing their career within FS, and looking to make their first move in-house from one of the Big 4.

The below gives a detailed insight into the type of work, predominantly involving the provision of tax advice to the firm and the investment advisors in connection with the firm as well -

* Keeping abreast of changes in tax law and assessing the impact on the asset management group structure
* Providing advice to front and middle office on a range of matters e.g. corporate actions, withholding tax, capital gains tax, reclaims and stamp duty
* Being aware of any changes in tax regimes globally, actively communicating these, and advising on how the changes may impact certain transactions
* Advising on fund structuring for new vehicles
* Advising on suitable structures, reviewing documentation and advising on tax implications of the proposed investments for fund incorporation and liquidations

In this firm, the indirect and direct tax compliance work is outsourced, meaning that the successful candidate will be involved in reviewing this compliance work to ensure strong risk management within a well established tax team.
