Your new role

As an experienced VAT Manager, reporting to the International Tax Manager, you will work within the Tax Team and take responsibility for VAT compliance and reporting for the global group.

You will have experience of VAT in a business environment (including compliance management and return preparation/review), an in-depth understanding and interest in accounting systems and a good understanding of VAT principles in order to deal with queries from the business and maintain up to date VAT reporting.

Key responsibilities:

* Manage Global VAT Compliance
* Preparation of UK VAT return
* Monthly VAT reconciliations
* VAT process management, improvement and documentation
* Design/implementation of Oracle
* Responding to ad-hoc technical queries across the business
* Assist with VAT audits
* Maintaining knowledge on relevant VAT developments and pro-actively communicating changes to the business.

What you'll need to succeed

* Experience of VAT in a business environment and VAT technical training in order to advise the business appropriately
* Experience of VAT compliance management, including the preparation/review of both UK and overseas VAT returns
* Experience of VAT accounting

Additionally:

* Experience of reviewing and improving VAT processes
* Experience of implementing a new Finance system from a VAT perspective
* Experience of effectively managing external (or other) advisers and consultants
* A highly flexible and unflappable approach to handling a large workload in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities and unpredictable demands
