Following a period of growth the need has arisen to expand the tax department with the addition of corporate tax accountant.
Reporting directly to the European Tax Director as part of a large lively team, you will be based at the regional head office in the heart of London. Principally responsible for managing the UK tax compliance process with scope to progress on to develop broad customer facing planning and project management roles within other taxes.
Key duties:
•Preparation of the quarterly US GAAP and year end UK GAAP statutory tax reporting for various UK businesses.
•Review of the quarterly tax calculations for European group companies’ management reporting submissions.
•Responsibility for UK tax compliance process, including the preparation and lodgement of tax returns, maintaining the relationship with HMRC and identifying and implementing process improvements.
•Working with European group companies to understand their tax compliance processes and provide support and education on tax matters in order to ensure adherence to appropriate internal compliance controls.
•Communication and regular liaison with the relevant business finance teams in order to create and maintain good working relationships.
•Responding to ad-hoc queries from the businesses.
